Your adventure begins in Magdeburg – one of the greenest cities in Germany. Just a few kilometers south of the city, you’ll leave the hustle behind and roll straight into nature, cruising along beautiful tree-lined roads that invite conversation and connection.
At around kilometer 100, the first big challenge awaits: the climb up to the Brocken and a full crossing of the Harz mountains. From there, the route stays varied – winding through lush deciduous forests and dark evergreen woods. We start in the green and stay in the green!
Once you’ve conquered those first climbs, the trail leads you deep into the Thuringian Forest at around 270 km. Expect mystical paths, short but brutal climbs, and plenty of time to get lost in your own thoughts.
Around 480 km, civilization slowly returns and resupply options improve — but don’t think for a second that it’ll get any easier. This route is called "Rooted Secrets" for a reason!
Fully stocked and recharged, you’ll head into the Hohe Schrecke at around 570 km. What’s waiting for you there? You’ll have to find out for yourself!
One final round through the Harz heights, and then it’s an easy, flat roll back to Magdeburg. And there we’ll be, waiting to celebrate you — because you’ve conquered Rooted Secrets!
