JULY 31 – AUGUST 5, 2027
Rooted Secrets is a self-supported long-distance cycling challenge through some of Germany’s rougher, quieter places — built around remote trails, forest tracks, gravel roads and only the tarmac needed to connect them.
No support. Just you, your bike, and five days to make it back.
Steep climbs, rough surfaces, quiet roads and whatever lies in between. You carry what you need, find your own way, and learn pretty quickly why you started.

Start & Finish : Magdeburg
When : July 31, 8 am – August 5, 2027
Route : 777 km | +12,000m
The challenge begins in Magdeburg and quickly pulls you away from the city into quiet roads, deep forests and rougher ground.
Around km 100, Wurmberg and the Harz mountains mark the first real test. By km 300, the Thuringian Forest takes over with remote trails, dark woods and brutal punchy climbs.
Further on, the Hohe Schrecke adds another hidden chapter before one final push through the Harz leads you back to Magdeburg. The last kilometres are flat and fast — but after everything behind you, they’ll feel earned.

The forest doesn't care how fast you register. It cares how far you're willing to go.
Register for your spot. The road will do the rest.
